Back in 2014 it was one of Otranto's first wine bars: "Truffles and Mushrooms", born from Aldo's passion for truffles and Giuliano's love of wines.
Soon truffle hunting spread throughout Italy and Giuliano qualified as a sommelier with the AIS (Italian Sommeliers Association). The wine bar became a restaurant loved by locals and tourists alike, located between the Idro river and the waterfront, a stone's throw from the Church of S. Antonio.
Today " Al Tartufo" is closing its doors, and in May 2023 a brand new project is taking its place: Borgia Bistrot.
